Qualifications/Training

Essential:

Academic: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent or Environment Degree and NEBOSH certifcate

Professional: Member of appropriate professional institution

Experience

Essential: Experienced in safety, security, health, and environment delivery in the offshore oil and gas industry; knowledge of legislation and industry and practices; experience of implementing an audit programme; experience of behavioural safety techniques and programmes; experienced in health monitoring programmes; experienced in workforce communication

Desirable:Experienced in safety, security, health and environment delivery in the offshore oil and gas operational environment; thorough knowledge of legislation and industry and practices; registered auditor; experience of management of behavioural safety techniques and programmes; experienced in health monitoring programmes; experienced in workforce communication

Personal Qualities

Must have the ability to interface with others and to communicate well at all levels
Must have the commitment to identify, analyse and propose solutions to problems in a constructive and positive manner Competencies

Good presentation skills
Good communication skills
Computer literate (MS Office components)
Good working knowledge of applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards

Competencies – Project/Department Specific

Abilty to carry out effective training and awareness sessions
Good working knowledge of regulatory authorities and their requirements
A desire to continually improve the safety and environmental performance of the contract

Additional

Must be willing to travel offshore regularly/support international locations
