Job Summary
Responsible for providing proactive support and advice in all operational and occupational health & safety matters for all operations in the company. Responsible for assisting in the interpretation of the companies corporate policies and in the setting of standards for UK operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Manage preparation of environmental permits for all of the coompanies UK production, drilling and project activities.
Take an active lead in the analysis of performance trends, identify areas that require improvement and define action plans to achieve those improvements.
Support implementation of Behavioural Safety systems
Participate in the development and maintenance of safety management systems for the control of UK operations.
Assist with the establishment of the practice of continuous improvement through auditing and goal setting.
Assist with environmental auditing and monitoring activities
Provision of specialist health and safety advice to the companies operations and site Health & Safety Advisers.
Develop and maintain environmental performance reporting processes to meet company and external regulatory requirements.
Support site specific H&S Improvement Plans.
Monitor quality of Synergi incident reports.
Provide support to Risk Assessment activities.
Support Hazard Management Campaigns, Surveys/Programmes.
Develop Safety Alerts and Bulletins.
Review and recommend changes to Permit to work system.
Assist in compiling performance reports for quarterly HSE meetings, Opcoms and Board meetings.
Conduct incident investigation and ensure appropriate corrective actions as required.
Maintain environmental emergency response contingency procedures and arrangements.
Reports to:
Health Safety and Environment Manager
Internal:
Works with and advises staff at all levels, including contractors and consultants including:
HS&E Department including offshore HSE Advisors
Close liaison with Accounting, Operations, Drilling, Projects and Document Control.
Liaison with other Departments within UK location
External:
Liaises with regulators HSE, industry colleagues (including contracted duty holders), partners, specialist providers
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum NEBOSH C ertificate (Diploma preferred)
Member of IOSH - Chartered Membership preferred.
Well rounded work experience preferred, with significant direct experience (min 3 yrs) in either oil & gas operations or onshore support role closely linked to oil & gas operations.
Scope:
Works with minimal supervision as part of a small multi-disciplinary team.
