Essential
•  You will have an appropriate engineering degree and hold an additional professional qualification such as membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
•  You will have knowledge of UK HSE legislation, guidance and enforcement regimes and the application of ISO9001, ISO14001 and related standards coupled with an in depth understanding of the UK offshore industry emergency and oil spill response conventions/arrangements.
•  The ability to translate complex safety legislation into simple effective operational processes and the communication skills to deliver to all levels within the company.
•  A good set of cross industry networks and contacts spanning the range of partners, peers and regulatory bodies and the ability to maintain and develop these relationships is pivotal to your success in this position.

The Role
•  Reporting to the C.O.O you will proactively lead the development, implementation, operation and improvement of appropriate HS&E and Quality Management Systems.
•  This is an autonomous high profile role where the incumbent will be the most senior HSE champion within the company.
•  As functional head , the HSEQ Manager will be viewed as a mentor and strategic specialist by the entire organisation; and will need to develop close working relationships with colleagues to support operations providing affective advice and reassurance and aiding the sharing of good practice both internally and externally.
