To disassemble, inspect, refurbish and or modify, reassemble and test DQ Rental or customer owned equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, standards, procedures and shop loading schedules.
Responsibilities and Duties
Undertaking specific work assignments as directed by supervision.
Ensuring full understanding of required scope of each work assignment, specifically Work Order job content, relevant engineering drawings and applicable assembly/test procedures.
Ensuring all safety issues are recognised/understood and any/all safety risks are eliminated.
Questioning and putting on hold any work assignment which is not understood or supported by the work instructions ensuring safe completion of work.
Disassembly/Inspection/Rework/Re-assembly and testing of all client product lines.
Ensuring all staff either working along side you or trainees under your control have a complete understanding of workscope to be undertaken, including best safe working practises.
Ensuring work order packages support your job/work station and that you have complete pallet of parts and necessary tools satisfactory to complete the job.
Ensuring that any/all uncertanties to be immediately brought to your supervisors attention.
Ensuring all operations on work orders assigned to you are progressively and satisfactorily completed/signed off and all supporting inspection and test results exist in the package(s).
Ensuring accurate handover notes/updates relating to work in progress is passed over to your work colleague on the following shift.
Fluid Analysis (Hydraulics) – as applicable.
Setting up and operation of function testing.
Review current methods and work flow with a view to drive further improvement.
Working to COSHH regulations on all chemicals, greases.
Continually monitor the use of Risk Assesments and safe working procedures.
Take ownership for own health and safety and quality of workmanship, and to influence others positively in this regard.
Ensurin all items removed from stores are documented correctly.
Ensuring all tolling equipment returned to the correct storage area when not in use.
Ensuring good house keeping at all times.
Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and faults reported immediately to Supervisor. Faulty equipment to be satisfactory repaired/replaced. Defective equipment to be removed from use and Maintainence informed via Maintainence request form.
Ensuring own safety and safety of others in working practices and ensure the self discipline necessary to use Company provided PPE as applicable.
Ensuring lifting equipment is used safely and stored appropriately when not in use.
Ensuring no unauthorised personnel enter uilding when pressure testing is in progress.
